Term explanation: RCEP
The regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP) was officially signed by 10 ASEAN countries and 15 countries including China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand on November 15, 2020. RCEP member countries account for about 30% of the world's population, GDP and total trade. It is a free trade area with the largest population, the largest economic and trade scale and the most development potential in the world. After RCEP comes into effect, it will promote one-third of China's trade to achieve zero tariff, drive the corresponding opening of services and investment, and promote trade facilitation and the improvement of business environment.
