The inauguration ceremony of the CCPIT Research Institute was held in Beijing on January 18, 2016. Chairman of the CCPIT Jiang Zengwei, Vice Chairmen Zhang Wei, Wang Jinzhen, Lu Pengqi and Yin Zonghua, Secretary-General Xu Hubin attended the ceremony. Jiang Zengwei and Lu Pengqi jointly unveiled the plaque for the institute.
Lu Pengqi said setting up the institute, as a major event of the CCPIT, meets the demand of the CCPIT in its adaption for domestic and international situation as well as national foreign trade strategies, and also the demand of the CCPIT in expansion of functions and transformation & upgrading.
The institute is expected to make the most of identity and institutional advantages of the CCPIT, and its close relations with domestic and foreign business circles, center on the overall situation of national economic development and external work, and strengthen research. It will provide intellectual support for making of policies, laws and regulations, development plans and major decisions which are closely related to enterprises’ interests, through research projects in international trade, international investment, domestic and foreign markets, commercial law, etc. Meanwhile, it will also voice and spread China’s views, thus making greater contributions to enhancing China’s influence in international trade field via international exchange platform.
