Tangshan International Horticultural Exposition 2016 will be co-hosted by the Hebei Provincial Government, the China’s SFA, the China’s CPIT, and the China’s FA and organized by Tangshan Municipal Government.
The expo will be held at South Lake Park in Tangshan from April 29 to October in 2016. The expo will cover an area 506 hectares in size and showcase gardening trends that embrace environmental protection and a low-carbon lifestyle.
Located 200 kilometers southeast of Beijing, Tangshan is planning to stage this exposition at its newly-built South Lake Ecological Park, which was reclaimed from a sink coal mining area. The exposition is set to run from May to October in 2016 and is expected to receive upwards of 15 million visitors. The World Horticultural Expo is a grand display of the latest plants and plant technologies. Since its inauguration in 1851, it has been convened in more than 20 countries.
