In order to promote the building of “Digital Shandong”, the province has set up the “Digital Shandong” development funds to support the construction of digital government and digital society, boost digital economy development, and promote open and shared big data development, according to the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province.
The “Digital Shandong” development funds arranged a budget of 540 million yuan in 2020, focusing on supporting the building of the information system for provincial government affairs and the development of data centers. Up to now, 420 million yuan has been allocated to support the implementation of 122 projects in 40 provincial departments.
To strengthen policy supply, Shandong has also issued the Interim Measures for the Administration of Provincial “Digital Shandong” Development Funds, specifying the orientation of financial support and the way of distribution and utilization of the funds.
Focusing on the building of the information system for provincial government affairs, Shandong has revised and improved the Interim Measures for the Administration of Funds for the Information System for Provincial Government Affairs, specifying responsibilities of the departments, standardizing budget management, carrying out project library management, and strengthening the overall planning and control of the information system for government affairs.
In addition to supporting its departments to improve the level of data application, Shandong also guides the overall planning of projects and promotes the open sharing of big data.
