It aims to expand the coverage of rural electricity and improve the quality of life of residents in the most remote areas. The total investment in the project is 4.8 million quetzales, and the wiring distance is 34 kilometers. It is expected that more than 400 families and more than 1,800 residents will benefit from the local area.
"Guatemala has never stopped helping its people improve their living standards. All Guatemalans have the right to live a dignified life, but it is impossible to live without electricity. We will try our best to promote rural electricity construction and further achieve urban and rural equality." Said.
In addition, Jamata also emphasized that he hopes to achieve the goal of covering 90% of the country's population with electricity before the end of his term, and that the Guatemalan government will continue to work hard to achieve 100% coverage in the future.
The local residents also expressed their expectations for this power construction. Luisa Amanda Chin (Luisa Amanda Chin) is the principal of a local rural school. She introduced that the school has been operating without electricity for 25 years. At night or on cloudy days, the teachers only Can work with oil lamps or candles.
