Kazakhstan implements compulsory label management on shoes

According to the information released by Kazakhstan digital economic development center, Kazakhstan plans to implement compulsory label management on footwear products from July 1, 2021. At that time, shoes in circulation in Kazakhstan must be pasted with data matrix QR code.

According to the source, 11 footwear products from other countries (including Eurasian Economic Unio countries) without digital labels will be banned from entering the Harbin market after the approval of the legal document on the compulsory label management of footwear products. Before the legal documents come into effect, the inventory goods without digital labels are allowed to continue to be sold in the next year.

The above regulations involve all participants in the footwear market from producers, importers to retailers. All market participants must log in to the commodity label and traceability information system for registration, and obtain the QR code automatically generated by the system.

importers must affix digital labels before customs clearance, either in the production country or in the customs bonded warehouse located in Kazakhstan.

Digital labels can be pasted directly on shoes, or on labels or packages.
