Russian media quoted data from the Russian Customs and reported that Russia exported 992,100 tons of soybeans to China in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 1.5 times compared with the same period last year.
China is the main importer of Russian soybeans. During this period, Russia exported 1.04 million tons of soybeans. Belarus ranked second (18,700 tons).
Russia mainly exports soybeans (920,200 tons) from the Far East. Almost all exports in the first quarter were concentrated in January (964,400 tons). Due to the new customs regulations, the export volume in February was greatly reduced, with a 30% tariff per ton of soybean exports (not less than 165 euros per ton).
