On June 17, South Korea's Ministry of trade, industry and Energy announced that the application for 2021 ASEAN South Korea international joint technology development project will be opened from August 11. The project will be piloted this year to support joint technology development between Korean enterprises and major enterprises, universities and research institutions in ASEAN countries. The fields to participate in the project are 12 technology industries selected by the South Korean government according to the survey results of technical cooperation needs with ASEAN region, including electric motorcycles, intelligent livestock breeding based on artificial intelligence and intelligent LED street lamps. The enterprises selected to participate in the project will receive up to 1 billion won (884300 US dollars) of technology development assistance funds within three years to promote joint research and technology transfer with ASEAN enterprises, universities and research institutes.
