Kazakhstan's liquefied petroleum gas will realize full electronic sales in 2022

Deputy Minister of energy jumabai karahayev recently said at a press conference held by the national press release center that the sales of liquefied petroleum gas in Kazakhstan will be fully converted to electronic transactions from January 2022.

Karahayev said that the amendment on natural gas and natural gas supply was approved for this purpose. By the end of 2021, 80% of the total sales of LPG will be transferred to electronic transactions.

In addition, in July 2021, 50% of LPG will be sold through commodity exchanges. At the same time, it is also planned to cancel the certification authority of gas pipeline network organization from January 1 next year, so as to reduce administrative barriers.

Karahayev said that the transition to electronic trading will increase the investment attraction of the industry, establish reasonable pricing within the CIS and modernize manufacturing plants.
