According to news from Thailand's " Nation " on August 31, Thailand has begun to levy a 7% value-added tax on e-commerce since September 1. According to regulations, e-commerce operators engaged in the following industries, if their annual income exceeds 1.8 million baht, are required to pay VAT: 1) online shopping platform; 2) online advertising services; 3) online booking services; 4) media or applications Services; 5) online intermediary services.
The Thai government predicts that tax revenue in the first year is expected to reach 5 billion baht.
