On September 1, 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it would launch the second sunset anti-dumping review investigation on lemon juice imported from Argentina. At the same time, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) launched the second sunset anti-dumping review industrial injury investigation on the case to examine whether the material injury caused by the import of the products involved to the domestic industry of the United States will continue or reoccur within a reasonably foreseeable period if the current anti-dumping and countervailing measures are cancelled. Interested parties shall register with the U.S. Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of this announcement; Stakeholders shall submit their responses to the U.S. International Trade Commission before October 1, 2021, and submit comments on the adequacy of the responses to the U.S. International Trade Commission no later than November 16, 2021.
On October 19, 2006, the US Department of Commerce filed an anti-dumping investigation on lemon juice originating from Argentina and Mexico. On September 21, 2007, the US Department of Commerce made a final ruling on the case. On August 1, 2012, the U.S. Department of Commerce filed the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on lemon juice originating in Argentina and Mexico. On December 7, 2012, the U.S. Department of Commerce made the first anti-dumping sunset final judgment on lemon juice originating in Argentina and Mexico, ending the anti-dumping measures against the products involved in Mexico.
