Mexico initiates the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation against Chinese aluminum cookwar

On October 5, 2021, the Mexican Ministry of Economic Affairs issued an announcement in the official gazette that the Mexican company Vasconia Brands, SA de CV’s application, decided to initiate the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on aluminum cookware (Spanish: artículos para cocinar de aluminio) originating in or imported from China. During the investigation period, October 2016 The anti-dumping measures determined by the final ruling on the 13th continue to be effective. The dumping investigation period in this case is from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, and the damage investigation period is from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2021. The TIGIE tax number of the product involved is 7615.10.02. The announcement will take effect the day after it is issued.

On October 13, 2016, Mexico made a final anti-dumping ruling on aluminum cookware (TIGIE tax number 7615.10.99) originating in or imported from China, and decided to take the following anti-dumping measures against the products involved: 1. The import price is lower than For the product involved in the case with a reference price of US$10.6/kg, the difference between the import price and the reference price shall be used as the anti-dumping duty; 2. The tax on the involved product imported from Zhejiang Sanhe Kitchenware Co., Ltd. shall not exceed US$5.65/kg; for products from China The tax on the products involved in the case imported by other exporters does not exceed US$7.73/kg; 3. No tax is levied on the products involved in the case with an import price of more than US$10.6/kg. According to relevant Mexican laws and regulations, starting from December 28, 2020, the TIGIE tax number of the product involved has been changed to 7615.10.02.
