Hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), organized by the Organization Department of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee, the Liaoning Provincial Industry and Informatization Department, the Liaoning Association for Science and Technology (LNAST), the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Liaoning Province, the China Centre for International Science and Technology Exchange, and CAST New Technology Center Co., Ltd., the Global Digital Economy Summit for Small and Medium Enterprises 2022 was held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province on November 8.
Recent years have seen an unprecedented challenge for many SMEs due to the global economic recession and the severe impact of COVID-19, and the Global Digital Economy Summit for Small and Medium Enterprises 2022 exactly came in this context as a global high-level forum. The forum aims to build an intelligent innovation platform for SMEs through digital empowerment, to address the practical problems of SMEs, and promote the digitalization of SMEs.
In addition to the opening ceremony, this year's forum features other activities like keynote speeches and summit dialogue. With focus on digital foundation, scenario-based empowerment, openness and innovation, and other special topics, the forum will help SMEs grasp new opportunities, accelerate their integration into digital collaboration networks and enhance their international competitiveness in digitalization.
The SME Digital Economy Association of Liaoning and the Liaoning Alliance of Overseas Returnee Entrepreneurship were inaugurated at the forum. Initiated by the CAST New Technology Development Center and LNAST, the institutions aim to pool governmental, industrial, academic and research resources from home and abroad, attract outstanding enterprises and professionals, and contribute to creating an internationally competitive industrial cluster and building a digital and innovative Liaoning.
Following the forum, the host will deliver a series of activities to facilitate the early transformation of achievements and views formed at the forum, empower the transformational development of SMEs, and help more SMEs go global through digitalization.
