Tashkent, July 20 (Reporter Li Ao) The Uzbek presidential website recently issued a statement saying that Uzbek President Mirziyoyev held talks with visiting Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Tashkent, and the two sides reached an agreement on increasing bilateral trade.
The statement said that Sadyr Japarov's visit marked the beginning of a new stage of cooperation between the two sides. The two sides emphasized in the talks that the current important task is to formulate comprehensive measures to increase bilateral trade to US$2 billion in the next few years.
In addition, the two sides also focused on the progress of regional projects such as the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway. It is reported that Sadyr Japarov paid a state visit to Uzbekistan from the 18th to the 19th.
