A few days ago, the organizers of the German International Auto Show (IAA) stated that the auto show planned to be held in Munich in September will be displayed in multiple ways such as traditional offline and virtual digitalization. The reason is that under the influence of the epidemic that is still in vogue, it is difficult for the German International Auto Show to attract automakers outside of Germany to attend offline shows.
In July last year, the German International Automobile Exhibition (IAA) officially confirmed that it will be transferred to Munich to replac the previous Frankfurt Motor Show. The first Munich Motor Show will be held from September 7th to 12th, 2021, for six days. The Munich Auto Show will be divided into three parts, Summit, BlueLane and OpenSpace.
At present, the three local brands of Volkswagen, BMW and Daimler, European and American companies such as Ford, Hyundai and Polestar, as well as Chinese brands such as Weilai, Xiaopeng, SAIC and WEY, all said they will participate in the 2021 Munich Auto Show. However, compared to the previous Frankfurt Motor Show, Toyota and the popular groups such as Renault and Stellatis in the European market have not promised to participate.
Therefore, in order to ensure the quality and influence of the auto show, the organizer recently announced that it will pay more attention to online digital activities, which is also a preventive plan to respond to the impact of the epidemic or other force majeure factors. Tobias Grober, a Munich exhibition company, said: "We plan to make this auto show a diversified exhibition, including traditional offline parts and online digital displays."
Lutz Meyer, the communication director of the German Automobile Industry Association (VDA), also said that virtual digital activities can increase the influence of the exhibition and become more attractive to exhibitors and audiences. Automakers can use text, images, videos, etc. to digitize Means to send marketing messages to target groups.
