The 2021 online Asia Europe Commodity Trade Expo opened in Urumqi, Xinjiang on August 25.

Hosted by the Secretariat of the China Asia Europe Expo and the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, this commercial Expo held under the epidemic situation has attracted 1323 exhibitors and 1865 purchasers from 25 countries to actively participate in the Expo by combining online and offline for the first time with the theme of "building a silk road business platform to promote win-win economic cooperation".

The online exhibition hall of 2021 Asia Europe Commodity Trade Expo has set up four exhibition areas and nine themes, covering cultural tourism industry, textiles and clothing, agricultural products and food, green building materials, industrial machinery and other fields. It has specially set up an exhibition area for Xinjiang's "visiting people's feelings, benefiting people's livelihood and gathering people's hearts" to help revitalize rural industrial development, so as to provide a trade platform for poverty alleviation and assistance enterprises, Explore the international market and promote rural revitalization.

The online platform will provide online exhibition services for exhibitors for one year from August 25, 2021 to August 24, 2022, and provide digital services for exhibitors for a long time in the form of special exhibitions, so as to build the platform into a "never ending online exhibition platform".

Since the first Asia Europe Commodity Trade Expo was held in 2015, it has been held for three times, becoming an important platform for promoting economic and trade cooperation between Asian and European countries. At present, the Chinese government is vigorously supporting Xinjiang in building the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and Xinjiang plays an increasingly important role in Asia Europe economic and trade cooperation.

At present, Xinjiang has established economic and trade relations with more than 170 countries and regions, has direct navigation with 16 countries and 25 international cities, and has carried out cross-border RMB settlement business with 101 countries and regions.
