Foam fire extinguisher working principle:
There are two containers in the foam fire extinguisher, which hold two liquids respectively. They are aluminum sulfate and sodium bicarbonate solutions. The two solutions do not contact each other and do not have any chemical reaction. (Never knock over the foam fire extinguisher at ordinary times) When the foam fire extinguisher is needed, turn the fire extinguisher upside down and mix the two solutions together, which will produce a large amount of carbon dioxide gas,In addition to the two reactants, some blowing agent was added to the fire extinguisher. When the switch is turned on, foam is ejected from the fire extinguisher, covering the burning items, isolating the burning material from the air, and reducing the temperature to achieve the purpose of extinguishing the fire.
Foam fire extinguisher consists of cylinder body, cylinder cover, sulfuric acid bottle bladder, nozzle, etc. The cylinder is filled with sodium bicarbonate aqueous solution, and the sulfuric acid bottle is filled with concentrated sulfuric acid. There is a lead plug on the mouth of the bottle, which is used to seal the mouth of the bottle to prevent the concentrated sulfuric acid in the bottle from absorbing water and diluting or mixing with the liquid outside the bottle. The working principle of the acid-base fire extinguisher is to use the chemical reaction after mixing the two agents to generate pressure to eject the agent, thereby extinguishing the fire.
The foam fire extinguisher is clean and environmentally friendly. Due to the use of clean water and the addition of environmentally friendly foam fire extinguishing agents, it is non-toxic, odorless, dust-free and other residues during fire extinguishing, will not cause secondary pollution to the environment, and will not destroy the atmospheric ozone layer.
