Detailed information
ENERZIP C Series Biogas Generator Sets are Cummins-powered industrial biogas generator sets designed for waste-to-energy, CHP, landfill gas, wastewater treatment, agricultural biogas, and grid-connected renewable power projects. This series covers a power range from 20 kVA to 1875 kVA and is developed for continuous operation under real biogas conditions.

The C Series is not a standard natural gas generator simply converted to run on biogas. Biogas is usually wet, corrosive, unstable, and variable in methane content. It may contain hydrogen sulfide, siloxanes, moisture, acidic condensate, and other impurities that can damage ordinary gas engines. For this reason, the C Series is built around Cummins gas engine platforms with biogas-oriented combustion tuning, corrosion resistance, gas safety control, and long-hour operation capability.

This series is suitable for B2B buyers who need reliable power generation from organic waste. Typical projects include livestock farms, municipal wastewater treatment plants, landfill gas recovery, food and beverage wastewater treatment, palm oil mill biogas, starch processing wastewater, breweries, distilleries, and independent biogas power plants.

The C Series uses Cummins industrial gas engine platforms seleced for durability, serviceability, and stable performance. Key engine components can be configured for biogas operation to improve resistance against corrosive fuel conditions. This makes the C Series more suitable for industrial biogas applications wher long-term reliability is important.

One of the main advantages of the C Series is its tolerance to variable methane content. In real projects, biogas quality changes with feedstock, digester temperature, biological activity, and gas treatment conditions. The C Series is designed to work with typical biogas methane content around 40% to 70%, depending on actual gas quality and final configuration.

For ignition and air-fuel control, the C Series can be configured with high-energy digital ignition systems and venturi-type gas mixing solutions. These systems help maintain stable combustion when gas pressure, methane concentration, or calorific value fluctuates. Proper gas pretreatment is still important, especially when H2S, moisture, or siloxanes are present.

The alternator system can be configured with industrial alternator brands such as Leroy Somer, STAMFORD, Siemens, ENGGA, or equivalent options. For humid or chemically aggressive biogas environments, alternator winding protection and ventilation design should be considered during project configuration.

The C Series can be equipped with advanced generator controllers such as ComAp or Deep Sea. Depending on the project, the control system can support island operation, grid synchronization, multi-generator paralleling, CHP logic, alarm protection, shutdown protection, and remote monitoring.

For CHP applications, the C Series can be configured to recover heat from jacket water and exhaust gas. Recovered heat can be used for digester heating, hot water, or process heating. In well-designed CHP systems, total energy utilization can be significantly improved compared with electricity-only operation.

Gas train safety is an important part of biogas generator design. The C Series can be configured with professional gas train components, including zero-pressure regulators, double-block solenoid valves, manual shut-off valves, leak-tested piping, flame arrestors, gas leak detection, and project-based safety options. These features help improve safety in methane-rich operating environments.

Available configurations include open type biogas generator sets, silent biogas generator sets, CHP-ready biogas generator sets, and containerized biogas power solutions according to project requirements. Open type units are usually suitable for generator rooms or plant rooms. Silent or containerized units are suitable for outdoor industrial sites, landfill projects, farms, and wastewater treatment plants.

The C Series is best suited for customers who need industrial-grade biogas power, continuous baseload operation, CHP integration, grid-parallel operation, or multi-unit power systems. For small farms wher low cost and simple maintenance are more important than grid synchronization or CHP performance, ENERZIP also offers the E Series Biogas Generator Sets.
