With the theme of "China and Africa join hands to create a better future", this event has successively held the China-Africa Investment and Trade Promotion and Cooperation Exchange Conference and the Kenya International Investment Conference, as well as China-Africa agricultural cooperation, cultural tourism promotion, enterprise consultation and other meetings.
During the event, Chinese and African parties signed 37 projects with a total amount of US$891 million, and connected 34 projects.During the special event to promote cultural tourism, the China-Kenya Tourism Service Platform was officially established. The platform was jointly initiated by the Hunan China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Institute-Africa Exchange Center and 12 Chinese and Kenyan enterprises.Alfred Mutua, Kenya’s Minister of Tourism and Wildlife, said that Kenya will deepen cultural tourism cooperation with China to ensure tourist satisfaction and promote economic growth.
The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo has been successfully held in Changsha, Hunan for three times since 2019.The second stop of the 2024 "China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo Entering Africa" event is planned to be held in Nigeria in November.
