The China-Switzerland Business Dialogue and the Swiss Promotion Conference of the Second China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo were held in Zurich on the 19th. Swiss business people said that they are optimistic about the prospects of economic and trade cooperation between Switzerland and China, and the Chain Expo is an important platform for stabilizing the global supply chain and promoting international trade. The event was hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and more than 100 Chinese and Swiss business people participated in the event.
Wei Xiting (foreign name: Robert West), president of the Swiss-China Economic Association, said that in the face of the increasingly complex international economic and trade situation, holding the Chain Expo is "the right thing to do at the right time" and has played a positive role in promoting the healthy development of global trade. He also said that China's economy is in a long-term upward trend and the Chinese market is vast. The Swiss-China Economic Association will encourage Swiss companies to actively participate in the second Chain Expo.Stefan Barni, Director of Global Network and Institutional Relations at the Swiss Global Enterprise Agency, said that this event has built a platform for communication and dialogue for Swiss and Chinese companies. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the entry into force of the Switzerland-China Free Trade Agreement. The economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has achieved fruitful results. The Swiss Global Enterprise Agency will encourage more Swiss companies and institutions to participate in the second Chain Expo to promote economic and trade cooperation between Switzerland, China and even the world.
Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to attend the event. He said that China has development advantages such as a super-large market and a complete industrial chain system. Switzerland has a highly developed economy, a unique international status and obvious industrial advantages. As innovative strategic partners, China and Switzerland have complementary advantages and huge potential in industrial chain and supply chain cooperation. Swiss companies and institutions are welcome to actively participate in the second Chain Expo, jointly promote Sino-Swiss supply chain cooperation, and work together to build a stable and smooth global supply chain.
Lin Shunjie, chairman of China Exhibition Group, told reporters that the Chain Expo is committed to strengthening upstream and downstream cooperation in the supply chain. Swiss companies can explore opportunities in the Chinese market by participating in the Chain Expo and form a solid cooperative relationship with Chinese companies. The second Chain Expo will be held in Beijing from November 26 to 30, 2024, with advanced manufacturing chain, smart car chain, green agricultural chain, clean energy chain, digital technology chain, healthy life chain and supply chain service exhibition areas. At present, more than 400 Chinese and foreign companies have confirmed their participation.
