The welcome dinner banquet for the 12th China-LAC Business Summit was held in Zhuhai on November 1. Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Lu Pengqi, Mayor of Zhuhai Yao Yisheng, and Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industries of Panama Nestor Gonzalez attended the banquet.
Lu Pengqi said, Chinese and Latin American business communities attached high importance to and fully supported the business summit, which has become a flagship brand for China-LAC practical cooperation. In recent years, an increasing number of Latin American and Caribbean countries, provinces and municipalities of China have applied for the bidding of the summit.
Lu announced that the 13th China-LAC Business Summit in 2019 will be hosted by Panama. The official flag of the summit was handed over from the city of Zhuhai to Panama afterwards.
