On October 29, 2018, Mr. Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, Deputy Director General of China Maritime Arbitration Commission and President of China Maritime Law Association (CMLA) attended the 9th International Conference on Maritime Law in Shanghai, which is hosted by CMLA and organized by Shanghai Maritime University with the assistance from the Supreme Court, CCPIT and other organizations.
Lu Pengqi noted, as an organization dedicated to promoting the development of maritime law, improving the maritime legal system and facilitating international academic exchange, CMLA has played a positive role in the development of industries with regard to maritime affairs and trade in China. He encouraged the maritime law community and shipping industry to contribute to realizing the “Blue Chinese Dream” by engaging in more exchange and cooperation in maritime affairs and following the trend of the time.
Over 350 representatives from the Chinese and international maritime law academic community, maritime judicial community and shipping industry attended the conference.
