Gao Yan, Chairperson of CCPIT met with Vice Chairman of National Council of French Employers (Mouvement des entreprises de France, MEDF) Bernard Spitz on October 25 during her visit to Paris for the 12th World Conference of Trade Promotion Organizations.
Gao Yan noted, as an important partner of CCPIT in France, MEDF has been making continuous efforts and positive contribution to economic cooperation between China and France over the years. Based on the sound cooperation, the commercial and industrial sector of both countries should look for more common interests and areas of potential increased cooperation. CCPIT is willing to conduct in-depth cooperation with MEDF in maintaining multilateral trade system, promoting trade and investment facilitation and global economic governance so as to promote the steady and healthy development of China-France economic and trade relations.
Bernard expressed his congratulations on Gao’s appointment as the chairperson of CCPIT and said that MEDF hopes to continue the close partnership built over the years with CCPIT. He also noted, French companies are expecting the participation in the “Belt and Road” construction and are willing to see an increased information exchange and collaboration with China in innovative models as well as expanding cooperation in AI, digitalization and service, etc by favor of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
Also present at the meeting are heads of CCPIT Department of Development Research and the Department of International Relations.
