The 3rd Donghu Forum on International Law was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province on November 24. Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Lu Pengqi attended and addressed the forum.
Lu Pengqi noted, themed with “Order of International Investment and Trade: Challenges and Reconstruction”, the forum focused on legal issues such as risk prevention, compliance review and disputes resolution against the current backdrop of international investment and trade and is an effective forum for the business community and legal community to work together towards a fairer international economic order through exchange of ideas and sharing of insights. CCPIT is willing to build a long-term exchange and cooperation mechanism on legal affairs with the international economic law community, a mechanism for companies to prevent and deal with legal risks and mechanism for participating into the formulation and promotion of international rules, he added.
This forum was jointly hosted by the Legal Affairs Department of CCPIT, Chinese Society of International Law and Wuhan University Institute of International Law, a high-end national think tank. Over 300 people engaged in academic research, dispute resolution and practice of law participated in the forum.
