Wang Chen, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, met with a delegation of the German Bundestag (Parliament) foreign affairs committee Tuesday in Beijing.
Hailing the pragmatic cooperation between China and Germany as a model of win-win cooperation among countries, Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said promoting China-Germany all-around strategic partnership is in the benefits of the two countries, and could bring more stability to the complex and changing world.
Wang expressed willingness to strengthen cooperation between the legislative institutions of the two countries and deepen mutual understanding and trust, so as to provide better legal environments for cooperation in various fields such as cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and safeguard free trade regime.
Norbert Rottgen, chairman of the delegation, said developing relations with China is in accord with the mainstream will of all sectors of Germany and the German side is willing to constantly deepen communication and cooperation with China.
