The trade volume between the Chinese mainland and Macao expanded 5.5 percent to reach 19.4 billion yuan (about 2.77 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 11 months of this year, official data showed.
Macao's actual accumulated investment in the mainland totaled 17.14 billion dollars by November, while the Chinese mainland's total non-financial direct investment in Macao stood at 2.68 billion dollars, Gao Feng, a spokesperson with the Ministry of Commerce said Thursday.
The mainland has lifted all tariffs on goods of Macao origin and expanded opening-up of tourism, finance and other fields to Macao, Gao said.
