Enterprises in Chengdu, capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province, saw 166 projects under construction and preparing to construct along the Belt and Road routes, worth more than 10 billion U.S. dollars last year, according to the local authorities at a recent meeting.
Last year, Chengdu saw its total volume of imports and exports amount to 394.18 billion yuan, up 45.4 percent year on year.
1,012 international freight trains traveled from Chengdu to Europe last year, with the goods worth about 4.6 billion U.S. dollars, up 254 percent year on year.
