According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (December 24-30), the national market price index of the edible agricultural products increased by 0.3% and that of the means of production decreased by 0.3% over the previous week.
In the market of edible agricultural products: the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 4.19 yuan per kilogram, up 0.7% over the previous week, with the prices of wax gourd, pumpkin and long bean increasing the most by up 6.2%, 6% and 5.5% respectively. The average wholesale prices of aquatic products increased slightly, with the prices of big hairtail, grass carp and carp increasing the most by 1.8%, 1.3% and 0.7% respectively. The wholesale prices of grain and food increased slightly, with those of flour up 0.5% and that of rice staying unchanged. The wholesale prices of poultry fluctuated slightly. Among these, the price of chicken was 16.25 yuan per kilogram, up 0.5%, and that of eggs was 9.35 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5%. The wholesale prices of edible oil fluctuated slightly, with those of rapeseed oil and soybean oil down 0.4% and 0.3% respectively, and that of peanut oil up 0.8%. The wholesale prices of meat decreased in general. Among these, the prices of pork and beef were 20.8 yuan and 56.46 yuan per kilogram respectively, down 0.6% and 0.1% respectively, and that of mutton was 56.5 yuan per kilogram.
In the market of production means, the price of basic chemical raw materials decreased by 0.9%, with the prices of methyl alcohol, polypropylene, sulphuric acid and sodium carbonate down 1.4%, 1.4%, 0.9% and 0.2% respectively. The price of steel decreased by 0.5% over the previous week, and the prices of high-speed wire rod, screw-thread steel, channel steel and hot rolling strip steel were 4134 yuan, 4070 yuan, 4170 yuan and 4140 yuan per ton respectively, down 0.6%, 0.5%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer decreased by 0.2%, with the price of urea down 0.2% and that of NPK staying stable. The price of coal decreased by 0.1%, among which the prices of steam coal and blind coal were 605 yuan and 891 yuan per ton respectively, down 0.2% and 0.1% respectively and that of coking coal was 774 yuan per ton, up 0.4%. The price of non-ferrous metal increased by 0.1% over the previous week, with the prices of zinc and aluminum up 0.9% and 0.2% respectively, and that of copper down 0.2%. The price of rubber increased by 0.4%, with the prices of synthetic rubber and natural rubber up 0.5% and 0.3% respectively.
