According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (December10-December 16), the national market prices of the edible agricultural products increased by 1% over the previous week and those of the means of production decreased by 0.4%.
In the market of the edible agricultural products: the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 4.14 yuan per kilogram, up 5.3% over the previous week, with the prices of cucumber, zucchini and eggplant increasing the most by 17.1%, 12.9% and 11.9% respectively. The wholesale price of aquatic products rose slightly. Among these, the prices of chub, large hairtail and carp increased the most by 1.5%, 1.1% and 0.7% respectively over the previous week. The wholesale prices of cereals increased slightly, with the price of flour up by 0.3% over last week and that of rice staying unchanged. The wholesale prices of meat fluctuated slightly. Among these, the price of pork was 20.95 yuan per kilogram, down 0.3% over last week and the prices of beef and mutton were 56.34 yuan and 56.1 yuan per kilogram respectively, both up 0.7% over the previous week. The wholesale prices of edible oil decreased in general, with the prices of rapeseed oil, soybean oil and peanut oil down 0.5%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively. The wholesale prices of poultry decreased differently. Among these, the prices of eggs and chicken were 9.38 and 16.28 yuan per kilogram, down 1% and 0.4% over the previous week.
In the market of production means: the price of steel dropped by 1%, among which the prices of screw-thread steel, high-speed wire rod, common middle plate and channel steel were 4081 yuan, 4154 yuan, 4194 yuan and 4168 yuan per ton respectively, down 1.3%, 1.2%, 0.8% and 0.7% respectively. The price of basic chemical raw materials dropped by 0.7%, with the prices of methyl alcohol, polypropylene and sulphuric acid down 2.3%, 1% and 0.4% respectively and that of sodium carbonate up 0.2%. The price of chemical fertilizer dropped by 0.6%, with those of urea and NPK down 0.7% and 0.1% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased by 0.5%, with the prices of zinc and copper down 1.8% and 0.5% respectively and price of aluminum staying unchanged. The price of rubber dropped by 0.3%, with the prices of synthetic rubber and natural rubber down 0.4% and 0.2%. The price of coal stayed unchanged, among which the price of steam coal was 608 yuan per ton, down 0.2%, the price of blind coal was 893 yuan per ton, up 0.3% and that of coking coal was 772 yuan per ton, staying unchanged.
