On December 6, MOFCOM held 2018 Trade Relief and Industry Development Forum, and Assistant Minister of Commerce Ren Hongbin attended the event and delivered a speech.
At the meeting, Ren Hongbin reviewed and summarized the situation of national trade relief work in 2018, and deeply analyzed the situation faced by trade relief and industrial development. He also expressed hopes and requirements on how to better carry out trade relief work while listening to the speeches of the participants.
Ren Hongbin pointed out that since the 19th CPC National Congress, MOFCOM has deepened the supply-side structural reform in the foreign trade sector guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese characteristics for a New Era and implemented a proactive import policy to further enhance the level of trade facilitation. In the face of profound adjustments of the world economy and the rising protectionism and unilateralism, the Chinese government has further expanded reform and opening up, firmly supported the multilateral trading system, and promoted the development of free trade. As the responsible institution for trade relief work in China, MOFCOM will implement trade remedy measures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, maintain industrial safety, properly handle trade frictions, and promote the high-quality development of foreign trade.
Attending were more than 50 representatives from relevant Ministries and commissions, local commerce authorities, industry associations, enterprises and law firms.
