On November 25, Vice Minister Qian Keming attended the 12th China-Japan Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Comprehensive Forum in Beijing.
Qian Keming said that China regards ecological civilization construction as an important part of ensuring coordinated implementation of the five-sphere integrated plan, and the four-pronged comprehensive strategy, and has planned a series of fundamental, long-term and pioneering work. In the process of further opening up and promoting circulation and consumption, the Ministry of Commerce has always followed the principle of green and low-carbon, and advanced practical exchanges and cooperation with enterprises from all over the world including Japan. Economic and trade cooperation is the anchor and propeller of China-Japan relations. The two countries are close in economy and trade, have a solid foundation of cooperation and are highly dependent on each other. China is Japan's largest trade partner, and Japan is China's second largest trade partner and important source country. China and Japan are highly complementary to each other in energy conservation and environmental protection, and the prospects for future cooperation are broad. The two sides should build consensus, synergize the green development strategies between China and Japan, promote the high-quality development of China-Japan economic and trade cooperation through innovation, carry out the green cooperation of China-Japan third-party market, increase green financial support, and help to implement more pragmatic cooperation projects.
The China-Japan Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Comprehensive Forum was founded in 2006 and co-hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Japan-China Economic Association.
