According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (November 12-18), the national market price index of the edible agricultural products decreased by 0.2%, and the price index of the means of production decreased by 0.8%.
In the market of edible agricultural products, the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 4.04 yuan per kilogram, down 2.4% over the previous week, with the prices of green pepper, lettuce and tomato decreasing the most by 7.9%, 7.7% and 7.4% respectively. The wholesale price of poultry decreased in general. Among these, the prices of eggs and chicken were 9.74 and 16.2 yuan per kilogram respectively, down 0.4% and 0.2% respectively over the previous week. The wholesale price of edible oil fluctuated slightly, with the prices of soybean oil and peanut oil both down 0.1% and that of rapeseed oil up 0.1%. The wholesale price of meat fluctuated slightly, and the prices of pork were 21.05 yuan per kilogram, down 0.1% respectively and those of beef and mutton were 55.17 yuan and 54.61 yuan per kilogram respectively, up 0.1% and 1.1% respectively. The wholesale prices of cereals increased slightly, with that of flour up 0.3%, and that of rice staying unchanged. The average wholesale price of aquatic products increased slightly with the prices of chub, crucian and grass carp increasing the most by 1%, 0.8% and 0.6% respectively.
In the market of production means, the price of steel decreased by 1.2%. To be more specific, the prices of hot-rolled strip steel, common middle plate, and high-speed wire rod were 4314 yuan, 4411 yuan and 4479 yuan per ton respectively, down 1.4%, 1.3% and 1.3% respectively. The price of basic chemical raw materials decreased by 1.1%, with the prices of polypropylene and methyl alcohol down 3.4% and 3.2% respectively, that of sulphuric acid up 0.2%, and that of sodium carbonate staying stable. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased by 0.8%, with the prices of aluminum, zinc, and copper down 1.4%, 0.6% and 0.5% respectively. The price of coal decreased by 0.2%, among which the prices of coking coal and steam coal were 779 yuan and 608 yuan per ton respectively, down 0.6% and 0.2% respectively, and that of blind coal was 884 yuan per ton, staying unchanged. The price of chemical fertilizer decreased by 0.1%, with that of urea down 0.1% and that of NPK up 0.1%. The price of rubber increased by 0.1%, with that of synthetic rubber up 0.4% and that of natural rubber down 0.1%.
