On November 11, Secretary of MOFCOM Party Leadership Group and Minister of Commerce Mr. Zhong Shan presided over the Party Leadership Group meeting to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the first China International import Expo. Members of the Party Leadership Group in Beijing, leaders of MOFCOM and heads of departments and agencies attended the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that from the perspective of laws of history and that of the community of a shared future for humanity, General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech proposed a Chinese plan for building an open world economy. Meaningful and magnificent, the speech not only had an insight into the laws of history, but also conformed to the trend of times. It contained both profound thinking and pragmatic measures. The speech once again declared China’s firm stance on reform and opening up, clarified the development trend of economic globalization, and announced major measures to open wider, which fully demonstrated China’s confidence, determination, responsibility and duty to push for higher level of openness, build an open world economy, and build a community of shared future for humanity and was highly praised by the leaders of the participating countries and people from all walks of life at home and abroad.
The meeting emphasized that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech provided a fundamental guidance for promoting the new round of high-level opening up. The Party organizations of MOFCOM at all levels and the national business system should deeply study and promote the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech, profoundly understand its essence, accurately grasp its core, and truly digest it. We must make use of the favourable situation, adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, firmly develop the “four consciousnessess”, implement every measure announced by General Secretary Xi Jinping on further opening up in the spirit of hammering away until a task is done and with the skill of embroidering.
