Xi'an and Belgium cooperate in international multimodal transport business

On the afternoon of April 21, Xi'an international land port group signed strategic cooperation memoranda of understanding with Belgium North Port Group and Ostende Bruges International Airport respectively. The three parties will work together to carry out China Europe sea land air international multimodal transport business and build a more smooth international logistics channel between Xi'an and Belgium.

North port is an important port in Europe, which is a cross-border port across the North Sea coast of the Netherlands and Belgium. On June 13, 2018, the first Volvo vehicle import train of China Europe train (Xi'an) from Ghent port, Belgium arrived in Xi'an smoothly. On July 6, 2019, the first "made in China" Volvo special train of China Europe train (Xi'an) arrived at Ghent port, Belgium, marking that Xi'an port's vehicle import port has realized the "coming and going" of import and export trade. As of April 21, 2021, more than 70000 Volvo vehicles have been imported and exported through China Europe train (Xi'an).

Through this cooperation, Xi'an international land port group will further expand the service function of China Europe train (Xi'an) in Europe with the north port as the fulcrum. At the same time, with the help of the freight hub advantage of Belgium ostander Bruges International Airport, we will explore cooperation in air rail intermodal transport business, accelerate the construction of Xi'an port cross-border e-commerce assembly center, and deepen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with European countries.
