"The project has changed our lives. It brings clean water to our doorsteps and we don't have to go far to get water anymore," said a villager from Diourbel region in western Senegal.
A China-funded water supply project, which Chinese President Xi Jinping had mentioned in his signed article before his visit to Senegal in 2018, is now benefiting over 2 mln local people.
