TOKYO, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Japan booked a goods trade surplus of 670.2 billion yen (5.93 billion U.S. dollars) in September, the Finance Ministry said in a preliminary report on Thursday.
According to the ministry, exports increased 14.1 percent from a year earlier, while imports rose 12.0 percent in the recording period.
The figures for September were measured on a customs-cleared basis.
