TOKYO, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar hovered in the upper 112 yen zone Tuesday in Tokyo amid geopolitical concerns over the Korean Peninsula.
At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 112.55-56 yen compared with 112.60-70 yen in London at 4 p.m. Monday and 112.99-113.01 in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. It moved between 112.50 yen and 112.82 yen during the day.
The euro fetched 1.1765-1766 dollars and 132.42-46 yen against 1.1730-1740 dollars and 132.25-30 yen in London late Monday afternoon and 1.1688-1689 dollars and 132.07-11 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
Japanese and U.S. currency markets were closed Monday for national holidays.
