Manzhouli, the largest land port on the China-Russia border, handled a total of 1,892 China-Europe freight train trips from January to July this year, maintaining a sustained growth trend, statistics from customs authorities showed.
Manzhouli port is one of the important channels for outbound and inbound China-Europe freight train service. Since the launching of the first "Sumanou" freight train from Suzhou in China to Warsaw in Poland via Manzhouli port in September 2013, the number of train trips via this port has been increasing year by year.
So far, Manzhouli port has been on the 53 China-Europe freight train routes, which helps promote trade between China and European countries.
It is worth mentioning that in the first seven months of this year, a total of 972 of China-Europe freight trains made their trips entering China through Manzhouli port, a sharp increase of 35.19 percent year-on-year, carrying 78,100 TEU of standard containers, with the value of goods worthy of approximately 9.519 billion yuan.
