On August 21, the Naqu Yangbajing section of G6 Beijing Tibet expressway was opened to trial operation. So far, the Nagqu Lhasa section of G6 Beijing Tibet Expressway with a total length of 295 kilometers (hereinafter referred to as "Nagra expressway") has been opened to traffic, and the total mileage of high-grade highways in Tibet has reached 1105 kilometers.

The total length of this section is about 226.937 km (naqunan interchange to Yangbajing interchange in sangbasa village, Yangbajing Town, Dangxiong county). During the trial operation, the transportation department of the autonomous region and the traffic management department of the public security organ shall implement traffic management according to the expressway traffic standard with a maximum speed limit of 100 km / h and a minimum speed limit of 70 km / h.

Nala expressway is the first expressway connecting Lhasa, the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, and the grassland in northern Tibet. After opening to traffic, the driving distance between Lhasa and Naqu city has been shortened from more than 6 hours to 3 hours. This highway is built in an area with an average altitude of more than 4500 meters. It is the highest highway in the world.

Nala Expressway starts from the southwest of the planning area of Naqu County, Naqu City, connects to national highway 109, ends at boma village, Naiqiong Town, duilongdeqing District, Lhasa City, and connects to the built West Ring Road of Lhasa City, with two-way four lanes. Among them, the Yangbajing Lhasa section is designed to run at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour and a total length of 68 kilometers, which has been opened to traffic on October 1, 2020.
