Suriname president Shan Duoji said on the 23rd that Suriname's economic revitalization needs more Chinese investment and is willing to further deepen practical cooperation with China in various fields.

When accepting the credentials submitted by Han Jing, the new Chinese ambassador to Suriname, Shan Duoji reiterated that Suriname adheres to the one China policy. He said that Suriname spoke positively of the fruitful results achieved in Soviet China relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations 45 years ago and thanked the Chinese government and people for their long-term selfless help.

Han Jing said that China regards Suriname as an important partner in the Caribbean region. China and the Soviet Unio are models of equal treatment and win-win cooperation between countries large and small. At present, the strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries has maintained a good momentum of development.
