Beibu Gulf Port Co., Ltd. (000582.SZ) inked a framework agreement on strategic cooperation with Hainan Harbor & Shipping Holding Co., Ltd., Yangpu Holding and Shandong Port Group (Hainan) Co., Ltd. on September 11, according to the company's file to the stock exchange.
With Yangpu International Container Terminal Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hainan Harbor & Shipping Holding Co., Ltd., as the cooperation platform, the parties agree to carry out capital cooperation and jointly build the Yangpu international container transit hub port, the agreement says.
Besides, Hainan Harbor & Shipping Holding Co., Ltd. agrees Yangpu International Container Terminal Co., Ltd. as its only container terminal operator in Yangpu Economic Development Zone, south China's Hainan Province, and there will be no additional platform for investment, construction and operation of other container terminals.
