In May, Southeast Asian fruits were put on the market in large quantities, and the import and export of fruits and vegetables at the Mohan Railway Port also reached a peak, with an average daily transportation volume of more than 1,500 tons.

Since the beginning of this year, the import and export of fresh goods on the China-Laos Railway has reached 64,000 tons, more than doubled year-on-year, of which 58,000 tons of imported fruits have been imported. According to the person in charge of the dispatching center of Kunming East Station of Kunming Bureau of National Railway, in order to meet the logistics needs of perishable fruits such as durian and mangosteen, the railway department has mobilized more than 1,000 refrigerated containers and prioritized the allocation of transportation capacity.

The "Lancang-Mekong Express" international freight train specially opened by the China-Laos Railway only takes 26 hours from Kunming, China and Vientiane, Laos. The railway department has increased the operation of the "Lancang-Mekong Express" cold chain train, with the average daily number of trains increasing from the original 1.5 to 3, and reaching 4 during peak periods. At the same time, it continues to optimize the cooperation mechanism with customs, border inspection and other departments to further shorten the inspection process and improve customs clearance efficiency.

Data shows that from January to April, the China-Laos Railway transported a total of 6.55 million tons of goods, a year-on-year increase of 14.9%, of which cross-border goods exceeded 1.8 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 24.1%.
