Linyi, May 5, 2016 (Linyi China) – Linyi-Pakistan International Freight Train went into service and departed from Linyi Huayang Logistics Park on April 30, a sign that Linyi has steadily sped up the integration into Belt & Road Initiative. Merit attention, this is the 9th freight train Linyi opened especially for cargoes after the following 8 lines: Linyi-Guangzhou, Linyi-Urumqi, Linyi-Xining, Linyi-Kunming, Linyi-Chengdu, Linyi-Chongqing, and Linyi-Hamburg.
There are 22 modern logistics parks, 2,094 logistics companies and transportation operators involving more than 22,000 employees in Linyi City. Over 18,000 cargo vehicles and 2,000 lines of stowage lines have weaved a huge logistics system with the characteristics of “nationwide radiation, faster turnaround, lower cost”, which can directly connected to over 1,800 cities above county level and all the ports around the country. The cost of logistics of here is 20%-30% lower than the national average. Linyi Trade City has been striving to develop railway, aviation and port approaching logistics. Lunan railway logistic park is listed in the China’s typical railway logistics park projects. The fast freight trains from Linyi to Guangzhou, to Urumqi have put into operation, and freight trains from Linyi to Harbin, to Nanning will be available soon. Linyi air port has been approved to open an international airline to South Korea is already in serving. Linyi Port, with designed operating capacity of 500,000 TEUs per year, is being operated by Qingdao Port which ranks the third largest port of China according to the comprehensive competitiveness. A large three-dimensional logistics pattern which integrates sea, land and air transportation is being formed.
In recent years, Linyi Trade City is actively implementing the Belt & Road Initiative strategy, making great efforts to develop international business. It carries out the specialized policy for the export of commodities from wholesale markets, which is named “Tourism Procurement Commodities”, striving to implement the market-based Purchase Trading Method and build One-Stop purchase and export base of international construction and engineering materials. Meanwhile, it is putting focus on promoting the construction of overseas trade city in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Germany, etc. It has established a good cooperative relationship with Xinjiang Khorgos, Kashgar and other inland ports to accelerate the building of import and re-export bases.
