China import Expo, 2016 Kunshan (hereafter referred to as “CIE 2016”) is to be co-hosted by Ministry of Commerce, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, jointly held by Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce, China Chamber of International Commerce, Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province and Kunshan People's Government at Kunshan Huaqiao International Expo Center during May 19 to 21, 2016. The Expo aims to implement the strategic plans of the CPC Central Committee and State Council on further expanding opening up, accelerate the transformation of economic development and upgrading China’s economy, give full play to the comparative advantages and leading role of the Yangtze River Delta region, amplify the combined effect of Jiangsu coastal development, as well aspromote import and export trade balance.
As China's professional national import platform, CIE 2016 will set up three main exhibiting sectors--Sector for metal Machining and Automation, Sector for Environmental Protection and Sector for Brand Consumer Goods. With the exhibition and negotiation area totaling 80,000 square meters, the Expo is expected to attract 600-plus exhibitors from over 40 countries for exhibition and 50,000 professional visitors for visit, negotiation and purchase.
