Linyi, May 17, 2016 (Linyi China) – The Pakistan (Gwadar) China Linyi Trade City Project Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on May 7th, a sign that new contributions had been made to the integration with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor by Linyi Trade City. Taking full advantages of the economic communication amid China and Pakistan, Linyi Trade City has been channeling great efforts into the integration with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, developing itself into a bridgehead for Belt and Road Initiative.
Reportedly, Gwadar China Linyi Trade City Project is the first project for business and trade jointly constructed by Linyi and Pakistan. The project was designed to be a regionally international center for trade and logistics, integrating warehouse, logistics, commodity exhibition, and market transactions into one-stop service. In this premise, the project will be constructed into the base of markets covering South Asia, Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa, and the premium and demonstration project related to Belt and Road Initiative.
China launched investment projects totaled 46 billion dollars in 2015, beginning China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, first project of Belt and Road Initiative strategy. based on the principles of cooperative collaboration, mutual benefits and common development, Linyi Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Overseas Ports Holdings Limited in September, 2015, aiming at implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, giving play to the superiority of the advantageous location of Gwadar Port, and promoting the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Covering areas of industrial cooperation, international logistics, international business and trade, building machinery, and purchasing equipments, the comprehensive collaboration jointly conducted by Linyi City and Pakistan drives and energizes the development of Linyi Trade City, as well as the integration of Linyi Trade City and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
