Mount Meng was named as The First Famous Ecological Mount in China by Ministry of Environmental Protection.
Mengshan Mountain, named “East Meng” or “East Mountain” in the ancient times, lies in the south of Mengyin County,Linyi City, East China's Shandong province. It is now known as the national geological park, national forest park, provincial tourist resort and the world’s health and longevity Mecca.
Mengshan Mountain covers a total area of 1,125 square kilometers. With its highest peak rising to 1,156 meters above sea level, Mengshan Mountain is called “Sub Daizong”, second only to Mount Tai in Shandong province. With its rich natural resources, Mengshan Mountain National Forest Park has been developed into six main areas with eight landscapes and more than 180 scenic spots. Its forest coverage reaches up to 98%.
