The local Chinese New Year heats up the "home economy", and also makes the two major industries of e-commerce and express delivery even more prosperous.

According to statistics from the Linyi Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Linyi Post Administration Bureau, in February, the city's online retail sales reached 2.094 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 50%; the city's express delivery service enterprises completed 56.304,900 pieces of business, a year-on-year increase of 148.27%. This year, the Ministry of Commerce and other six ministries and commissions launched the "2021 National online New Year's Day" activities. Our city actively organized e-commerce companies to carry out a variety of consumer promotion activities, which effectively boosted the growth of online retail. From January to February, the city's online retail sales reached 5.461 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 41.5%; online retail sales ranked third in the province. Among them, in January, the city's online retail sales reached 3.366 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 36.7%.

The data on the express service industry is also considerable. From January to February, the city's express delivery service enterprises completed a total of 168,275,200 business volumes, an increase of 178.98% year-on-year. The cumulative total volume ranked 19th in the "Top 50 Cities in Express Business Volume" list issued by the State Post Bureau. Among them, in February, the city's intra-city business volume was 5,732,400, a year-on-year increase of 239%; the remote business volume was 50,565,400, a year-on-year increase of 141.02%; the international and China Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business volume was 7,100, a year-on-year decrease of 15.95%. In February, the city's express delivery service companies completed 288 million yuan in business income, a year-on-year increase of 87.21%. Among them, intra-city business revenue was 22 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 116.45%; remote business revenue was 217 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 86.13%; international and China Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business revenues completed a year-on-year increase of 0.02 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 74.25%. Analyze the reasons for the rapid development of our city's e-commerce and express delivery business. First, the epidemic prevention and control requirements and the local Chinese New Year environment have promoted the development of online consumption in residents' homes; second, the implementation of the "Non-closing Spring Festival" measures of various express companies; The third is the rapid rise after the holiday. According to the forecast of the commerce department, the city's online retail sales are expected to reach 3 billion yuan in March.
