A Review of Work over the Past Five Years
The past five years witnessed the great strides, major breakthroughs and accelerated growth of Linyi City. Over the past five years, we have vigorously carried forward the Yimeng Spirit, completed the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects as planned, and embarked on the “three strategic transformation”. The Yimeng old revolutionary base area has made great progress in high quality development.

A Review of Work in 2021
The year of 2021 marked the centenary of the Communist Party of China and the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Faced with complex external environment, we have worked hard to overcome difficulties and make breakthroughs, achieving stable growth in major economic indicators and fulfilling all targets and tasks set at the beginning of the year.

The overall plan of the government work for the next five years:
We will transform the “big beautiful and new” Linyi into a strong, prosperous and advanced city, and further implement the “eight strategies” to become a strong modern city. We are endeavored to take the lead in modernization among all China’s old revolutionary base areas, increase the ranking of comprehensive strength among all prefecture-level cities of China, and make progress in GDP per capita ranking in Shandong Province.

The main projected targets for economic and social developments are as follows:
●Expand the GDP by around 6%.
●Increase the general public budget revenue by around 6%.
●Expand fixed asset investment by 6%.
●Increase the total retail sales of consumer goods by around 7%.
●The growth of total import and export volume is to be higher than the provincial average.
●Meet the provincially determined mandatory targets.
