The China-Europe Railway Express, carrying materials for major “Belt and Road” construction projects , departed from Chengdu International Railway Port on the 21st and is expected to arrive at its destination in St. Petersburg, Russia 13 days later. This is the first China-Europe train from Chengdu to St. Petersburg, Russia.
This special train is loaded with supporting materials for the construction of the "Russian Baltic Gas Chemical Complex ( GCC ) Project" of China Chemical Engineering Seventh Construction Co., Ltd. It is reported that the contract value of the project is nearly 100 billion yuan, which is the world's largest ethylene integration project and the project with the largest contract value for Chinese companies to "go global".
Up to now, Chengdu International Railway Port has built 7 international railway channels and 5 international rail-sea combined transport channels, connecting 59 overseas cities and 20 domestic cities. During the Spring Festival this year, the number of international trains at Chengdu International Railway Port and China-Europe trains both achieved steady growth.
