Uzbekistan will join the agreement on the establishment of the Committee for industrial cooperation and industrial policy of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, according to a presidential decree signed by President shafkat mirziyoev, Uzbekistan's state news agency reported.
According to the agreement, the contracting parties will cooperate with other CIS member states in the following areas of industry:
Make production policy decisions through mutual consultation;
Ensure the implementation of the international agreements and decisions on industrial cooperation adopted by CIS;
Identify key areas of cooperation between the parties to this agreement in certain areas, coordinate key areas of cooperation in the industrial field, form joint plans, and develop project lists;
Enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and help them develop sustainably by coordinating joint production in the industrial field.
The Ministry of economic development and poverty reduction of Uzbekistan will be responsible for the implementation of this agreement in the country as the main department.
